this pretty much a never ending question/debate. if you are what i consider as a writer, you pretty much write every time you step out of your little concrete cube. most of that time is alone, and even if you are in a crew/crews, the name spreading comes out naturally, you dont even realize how youve busted out 20 handstyles in one block. there are people i know who are down with a certain crew, but who dont hang around with the other crew members and usually paint/tag whatever alone. there are also people i know who are down with the crew, take part in the crew missions and who are constantly in touch with the other members, BUT they dont write the crew name. i could on on with the examples forever, but the point im trying to make is this: it all depends on your background with the movement, your relationships, and mostly about your personality. i myself do "it" simply to get away from everything for a while, so i mostly roll solo nowdays.

I understand that, that's why I was asking people about what they did, to get a feel for what the average writer does. I can read about Cope2, Seen, Banksy, etc until I'm blue in the face(which I do anyway), but that's not even a majority of people's opinions that get published.

Im mostly alone, i like to paint but i feel that im the only guy in town that writes. I put up a 'toy' throw up that was kinda visible just to check if there was any active writers around. It took the motherfuckers 2-3 months before it got crossed over. I know theres about 3-4 active graffers around, havent talked to em but im interested. I want to get better before i start to write more, i have offcourse been out and putting up my tag but i feel im to wack to write at places. I dont know any place i can practice. Theres probably coming up a legal wall soon so i can practice before i do stuff illegal.
what inspirates me to do this comes mostly out of graffiti movies, listening to hiphop music that involves graffiti based texts and dope beats. I mainly sketch, but i feel kinda alone right now. If i go out graff lots of shit, maybe i meet someone and hook up with some crew.
Lets just make the destiny decide whats goin to happen, but i am interested in this shit ^^

i know a few local writers and it was by chance that i met them i just happend to notice one sketching and we got talking and i get introduced to more people.
the best way to get noticed it to put more stuff up so when youve got a decent tag and throw-up go out and paint once they start seeing you everywhere they will probably want to meet you.
if your getting a legal wall just go and hang out around there (over here the legal wall gets painted usualy on sundays it might be the same in norway) also type your city and graffitishop in on google or if you already know theres one close go down there and have a chat learn some of the spots and stuff
